Freedom Route Ommeren – Opheusden

You start at Natuurlijk GRUUN, where you can enjoy a cup of coffee with Gruunse apple pie. Across the road, visit the outdoor exhibition at the Regional Museum Baron van Brakell. From there, follow the river to Opheusden, where a second exhibition highlights the history of this area. Passing through Dodewaard, you reach the Waal River and cycle along the water back to Ommeren, with countless reminders of the past visible in the surrounding landscape.
